In plain English. Use PagePod for personal reading. Don't redistribute books you don't own the rights to. The subscription auto‑renews until you cancel. We're not responsible if your e‑book file is corrupted or pirated.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using PagePod (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Your license to use PagePod

We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to install and use PagePod on devices you own or control. You may not:

3. Your content and copyright

You're responsible for the books and files you import. By importing a file, you confirm that you have the right to read it and to have it read aloud to you privately.

We do not host books and we don't see what you import. The "Free classics" library inside the app links only to clearly public‑domain editions; if you believe a title is mis‑classified, write to us and we'll remove it.

The narrated audio that the app produces from your file is for personal listening. Do not record, redistribute, broadcast, or use it commercially.

4. Voices & generated audio

The voice models bundled with PagePod are licensed for use inside the app. They are not granted to you as standalone TTS engines. Exporting raw audio for personal use (e.g., to your own offline player) is allowed; redistribution is not.

6. Warranties & disclaimers

PagePod is provided "as is." We do our best to ship a beautiful, reliable reader, but we don't promise the app is bug‑free, that every EPUB or PDF will parse perfectly, or that every voice will pronounce every word exactly the way you'd say it. On‑device synthesis depends on your hardware — older devices may run more slowly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of PagePod is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost reading time.

8. Termination

You can stop using PagePod at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms in a way that materially harms the service or other users; we'll explain why if we do.

9. Changes

We may update these terms — we'll bump the date at the top and notify you in‑app for anything material. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher of PagePod is established, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
